Tangletown Aging in place DADU

At a lovely home in Tangletown near Greenlake, we created space for multi-generational living and aging in place.  We replaced the garage and added on to its footprint for to create a DADU (detached accessory dwelling unit).  The ground level has a great room, kitchen and universal design bathroom.  The upstairs includes a sleeping loft, walk-in closet and half bath.  For aging in place, the ground-level spaces can double as sleeping spaces.  We insulated beyond code and utilized other sustainable strategies to keep maintenance low and comfort high.  There is also an electric vehicle (EV) charging port!  Contractor:  Skyline Construction.
